Certifications

Pearl Valley Eggs is recognized by multiple government agencies and industry regulatory bodies for our commitment to the highest quality and safety standards throughout all areas of operation. Among those acknowledgements are:

Humane Farm Animal Care

Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC) is an international non-profit certification organization dedicated to improving the lives of farm animals in food production from birth through slaughter. When you see the Certified Humane Raised and Handled® label you can be assured that the food products have come from facilities that meet precise, objective standards for farm animal treatment.

Safe Quality Food (SQF)

Pearl Valley Eggs attained Safe Quality Food Level 3 Certification in 2011. Safe Quality Food (SQF) is a food safety management certification program that assures customers that food has been produced, processed and handled according to the highest standards. SQF is benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is recognized worldwide.

USDA Compliance

A resident inspector from the U.S. Department of Agriculture is on site daily to monitor processing operations and certify a quality product is available to our customers.

USDA Organic

USDA Organic certification verifies that our farm and handling facilities comply with the USDA organic regulations and allows us to sell, label, and represent our products as organic.

United Egg Producers (UEP)

UEP is a Capper-Volstead cooperative of egg farmers from across the United States and represent the ownership of approximately 95% of all the nation's egg-laying hens. UEP and its farm members believe in consumer choice and, therefore, produce eggs in modern cage, cage-free and organic production systems, as well as producing other specialty shell egg products. UEP prides itself on working with government agencies, such as USDA, FDA and others, to solve problems and create programs that will move the egg industry forward.
